Mickey Arthur – Director & Coaching Principal

Mickey Arthur is a highly respected international coach and former player. He is the current National coach of Sri Lanka and has previously coached South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. He has an extensive domestic coaching pedigree spanning four continents – Western Warriors (Australia), Griqualand West and Eastern Province (South Africa), Karachi Kings (Pakistan), Dhaka Dynamites (Bangladesh) and Jamaica Tallawahs (Caribbean).

James Allenby – Director of Cricket

Jim Allenby is a former first-class cricketer and current Head Coach of the Claremont – Nedlands Cricket Club. He played professional cricket for 14 years in WA, the UK and Pakistan,playing over 400 games in his professional career – scoring more than 14,000 runs and taking over 450 wickets. Jim is currently doing post-graduate studies in Sports and Leadership at the University of Notre Dame in Perth.

Jake Whiteaker  – Wicketkeeping Coach

Jake Whiteaker is  is undoubtedly one of the most successful players in WACA premier cricket history having won nine Premierships so far at Claremont-Nedlands.  Combining his career as a teacher with maintaining a high standard on the field is a testament to his hard work. Jake has played for the WA Second XI, and has also been named Player of the Final three times in the CNCC premiership era. He brings a wealth of experience to wicketkeeping and batting at Players Choice.

Matthew Kelly – Ambassador/Pace Bowling Consultant

Matthew Kelly is a current player who made his first-class debut for Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield in 2017-18. A product of Scotch College, Matt represented Australia Under-19 in 2013 and secured a rookie contract with Cricket WA in 2016. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Perth Scorchers in 2018 and spent the 2019 season with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He returned to Perth for the 2020 season. Matt has a Degree in Commerce from The University of Western Australia.

Tim David – Ambassador/T20 Batting Consultant

Tim David is a current Big Bash player who represented the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League in 2017-18 – 2019/20 before earning selection to the Singapore national team in 2019, making his T20 debut against Qatar. Later that year he was the leading run scorer in the Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League ‘A’ tournament, with 369 runs in five matches. Tim is currently studying Commerce at The University of Western Australia.

Cameron Steel – Batting & Spin Coach

Cameron has been playing for Durham County in the UK since making his his first-class debut in 2014. He previously played senior and junior cricket at Somerset, and represented Western Australia at under-15 and under-17 levels. In 2017, he became the youngest double-centurion in Durham’s history when, at 21, he scored 224 runs off 408 balls against Leicestershire. Cameron has a Degree in History from Durham University.
